Beta software update! - 16th november
Another firmware update!

For those that are daring, visit http://beta.equiso.com/ to try our latest "beta" firmware update. Its simple. Download. Put update.zip on usb flash drive in root directory. Plug usb flash drive into Equiso. Wait f
or installer. DO NOT UNPLUG!! Update is finished when you see the boot screen. Unplug usb flash drive once you see the boot screen. Factory reset is recommended. This is not a stable release nor an official firmware update. As always with a beta release, download with caution.

Couple questions.
1. Should we unroot before flashing this new beta firmware?
2. Do we need to root the device again after flashing this new beta firmware?

This update improved performance a lot for me!

Also, Youtube login is working..

I still can't play flash videos in full screen and they are choppy - Anyone has a solution for that?

I installed new update and first I made sure I checked the survival mode on chainfire superuser app.
after update installed root held so I did not have to re root. My Equiso acts funny when I try to hook to computer so I really didn't want to go threw whole re root process.

1. It's not necessary to unroot before upgrading your equiso with the new beta
2. Yes you have to root your device again after the upgrade followed by a factory reset (recommended). I rooted succesfully once again with the new beta firmware.

You can make a factory reset after root and the root will remain after. Tested.

Good deal. That latest update increased my equiso's performance quite a bit. Pretty happy even though its beta. No more wait messages!

Good to hear things are speeding up, however has anyone actually gotten the non-pro model to stream video. Games, YouTube are nice, but the device was sold as a streaming media appliance.
