I think that's an ATSC tuner, not an Android TV stick.

Thanks anyway, @salonist!

RE: Equiso alternatives
Oh boy the UG802 is looking so much better nowadays. Maybe I need to cut my losses and just buy this cheaper stick and regain all my spare time hacking the equiso.

RE: Equiso alternatives
I've also been looking for a good alternative.

Minix seems to have nice products with good firmware and support. They even have a website! http://minix.com.hk

The Neo G4 is a HDMI stick and the Neo X5 is more like a stb with more IO including optical audio output and Ethernet. Both are dualcore cortex A9 with quadcore mali400.

The only disadvantage I could find is that they use a rockchip. This means XBMC will probably not be able to use hardware decoding since drivers are not opensource.

I definitely like the X5, the wired Ethernet and optical audio out are definitely 2 things I would want in an android media player.
I didn't know that the reason XBMC does not run well is that drivers are not open source, I thought these GPU chips just don't support hardware decoding at all.
So do you know of any Android HDMI stick/setopbox that supports hardware decoding and runs XBMC with smooth playback?

The ones with an Amlogic chip such as the AML8726-M3.

Right, I searched a bit more and found this one http://www.futeko.com/products/MP00041.php
Looks like they also have one with optical audio out. Something like this would be nice..
