RE: Equiso alternatives
About the Archos TV Connect i was interested too but now that i read facebook comments i won't buy from them:

Rally bad customer support same as equiso, tho i still think equiso is the worst.

As always research before buying, for now i'll go back to take a look to the GK802 as it has better support than these devices, actually it's got Ubuntu with HW acceleration so it still looks promising. I'll keep checking on new gadgets and post if i find anything worthy.

I wouldn't just read the review on those pages to make a purchase desition, at list geekbuying removes all 4 to 1 stars revies and only keeps the 5 stars reviews.

If you really want to know what's happening with all those devices then i recommend you this forum:

http://www.armtvtech.com/armtvtechforum/...um.php?f=4

there you can see, complaints, reviews, issues, development, and so on. Mostly the problem is the chinese companies that advertise their devices in a way that in the end is not truth plus the horrible quality build, for example there are some devices that are advertised as 1.6 ghz but they end up been locked to 1008; 1080p output is not real, DTS support is not real, etc, etc, etc.

Just my 2 cents. With these companies you gotta research deeper to not get ripped off.

RE: Equiso alternatives
Nice choice, Niko. Will you be dropping this Equiso forum and starting one for the MX-1?

Myself, I have decided to give up on Equiso and all Chinese Android sticks/boxes. My new toy is Japanese!

It's the SONY Google TV box.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B008BDBPTS...-1&pi=SL75

It connects between my cable TV box and my HDTV, and lets me switch instantly between Internet TV and cable TV . A single remote control for my home theatre setup. It runs cool, has Ethernet and Bluetooth. And it's fast and stable. Lots of support from SONY and the online community.

O no, am not going to drop equiso forum. It is here to stay. Mx1 already has an active community.

What's the spec of Sony Google tv?
