Thumbs Up WiFi Analyzer to optimize Equiso signal
https://play.google.com/store/apps/detai...rch_result

Use this excellent app to determine the received signal strength from your router, measured in negative dBm (decibels relative to 1 milliwatt of radiofrequency power). As you try different locations for your router and your Equiso, try to maximize the strength (-50 dBm is better than -60 dBm) and select a router channel with the fewest co-channel and adjacent-channel interferers. Since the USB RF receiver for the remote seems to be located near WiFi channel 9, it would seem to be wise to select Channels 1 or 11 on your router, not channel 6.

Report your results here for comparison. How strong does the Equiso's signal have to be in order to stream video acceptably?

And?

How much signal are you getting, Niko? On which channel?

We should try to characterize the Equiso's wifi performance with the common yardstick of the WiFi Analyzer app.

Tested on my nexus phone. -40db with dlink router on channel 1
with linksys router: -56db on channel 11

although both are on same location.

RE: WiFi Analyzer to optimize Equiso signal
There's too many factors to just post signal db level.
You would have to post the noise level per channel to get a better idea of that channel is clean or not. The more noise on the channel will result in a higher db level (Worst signal).
