Here's a new thread for the exploration of the new walmart equiso.

Blackcamaro, here are the results you asked for:

Album with pictures of the walmart equiso

Is not clear from those images... the CPU is still a NuFront NS115?
Looks to be similar in size and partition table looks close enough to work.

Here's what I have for the PRO.

root@android:/data # cat /proc/partitions
major minor #blocks name

179 0 7815168 mmcblk1
179 1 5537792 mmcblk1p1
179 2 20480 mmcblk1p2 /boot *partition_config (20M)
179 3 327680 mmcblk1p3 /system (320M)
179 4 1 mmcblk1p4
179 5 1537016 mmcblk1p5 /data (1500M)
179 6 52216 mmcblk1p6 /cache (50M)
179 7 205816 mmcblk1p7 /misc (200M)
259 0 123896 mmcblk1p8 /recovery *partition_config (120M)
179 16 2048 mmcblk1boot1
179 8 2048 mmcblk1boot0
179 24 7761920 mmcblk0
179 25 7760896 mmcblk0p1

You will need to extract the following partitions /recovery /system /boot

==Via ADB shell and dump to /sdcard/romdump folder==
tar -cvf /sdcard/romdump/system.img /system

dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk1p2 of=/sdcard/romdump/boot.img bs=4096
dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk1p8 of=/sdcard/romdump/recovery.img bs=4096

Post the files I'm sure @Cutare is dying to try them out. I've kind of lost interest in the Equiso.

Hehe... I'm very curious if could work flashing these to Pro unit indeed, and if it will work then to see if there are any notable kernel differences... I however very much lost interest in Equiso as well...
Devious, any update on the rom dump?

I'm sorry it took so long for me to reply, I am sort of in the same boat as the other two when it comes to interest in the equiso so I don't check the forum as much as I did in the past. I use my GK802 at home but I have one equiso at work for lunch time movies and one around the house here somewhere, I'll look around for it and pull that stuff off of it for you.

I flashed this to my Equiso Pro and it doesn't boot anymore.

So I guess, unless one of the above files is corrupted, that the units are completely different and firmware is not compatible between them.
Cutare- extract system and compare the pro vs walmart. That should give you a good ideal of what is different.
