Yeah .... I'm a student and don't own a TV, so I bought the Equiso to use it with my 21,5" PC-Monitor. But this one doesn't has speakers.

So I bought one of these dirt-cheap usb-audio-sticks of amazon:

together with this active usb-hub (to use HDD's, remote and audio-stick all together):

First thing will probably be that nothing happens as soon as you plugin the stick. Next thing would be to update the Equiso to the current beta release and then everything should work (see Facebook - Equiso for the update).

For those of you that use NTFS / HFS - HDD'S, there's an app for you (it's free but requires root):

This is exactly the information I needed. I wasn't sure if one of these would work with the Equiso and like devices, but hearing this makes me feel better about the whole thing. Thank you!

Don't do that! The beta firmware from 13 December is for the Standard Equiso, not the Pro.

Wait for a Pro-specific firmware.
USB Audio probably doesn't work without kernel drivers that are not included in the vanilla google kernel. Equiso would have to recompile the kernel and I think we don't have a way to do it ourselves. I doubt they will because that requires minimum skills they don't appear to have.
Well ... still works and nowadays even without beta update. Just plug it in and restart, that's it.
